Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other but in looking outward together in the same direction.
Are you a Runner?
Most people lives their life running. Always waiting for the next step without actually living the present moment. Hoping that the end of the day, the weekend, the summer, the vacation or any other exciting future event come. And when the moment, "that were for so long waited for", finally arrived, their mind instantly shifted to another exciting futur event without appreciating each second of the present one.
Wouldnt that be wonderful to be able to stop running. Knowing that some nice events are coming in the future but not stopping living our life in the mean while. Just enjoying the moment, looking and feeling our surrounding. But, I mean REALLY looking. And finding out all the marvellous in everything that surround us. Go on a take a risk......
To laugh is to risk appearing the fool To weep is to risk appearing sentimental To reach out to others is to risk involvement To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self To place your ideas, your dreams before a crowd is to risk their loss To love is to risk not being loved in return To live is to risk dying To hope is to risk despair To try is to risk failure But risks must be taken, because the greatest hazard in life is to do nothing. The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, and is nothing. They may avoid suffering and sorrow, but they cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love, live. Chained by their attitudes, they are a slave, they forfeited their freedom. Only the person who risks can be free
The Invitation
It doesn't interest me what you do for a living I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing. It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive. It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow; if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain. I want to know if you can sit with pain, your own, without moving to hide it or fade it or mine or fix it.<b> I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own, if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, to be realistic, to remember the limitations of being human. |
