Hoping to meet some interesting people through the Karma Caffe!

Who am I?

I am a Yoga Therapist, who also teaches Yoga and Belly Dance classes, as well as stress management programs and practices scientific forms of Energy Medicine.  I am also a Personal Trainer.

I am always looking to meet new freinds!

Variety is the spice of life, many of us get too hung up on routine, and let our lives get dull!

I am protestant, with a Primitive Methodist, United Church, and meditative Quaker background as a basis for personal and spiritual growth.

I am open in my mind enough to study Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and a few other paths fairly extensively.  The simple truths are there to be found in all paths, but, those who find the truth are those who truly open their hearts and minds and take up a serious study of themselves rather than doctrine!

I am committed to myself!  Doesn't mean I don't have time for others.  We all need to make a commitment to ourselves first and foremost to find ourselves, and then be of service to others.  You cannot give of yourself, or even receive what you want and need without first knowing who you are!

The world no longer needs a multitude of religions to create separations and/or control people.  Different groups that think they know best are really veiled prejudice.  Reality is that there is no religion that gets it 100%, because knowledge is subject to human interpretation, and people often twist the truth in teaching to control others, that includes the supposed written doctrines.

People simply need to find the truths for them selves by being aware and awake in how they think and act in the world, and treating others as they would like to be treated themselves.

We need to stop being judgemental and frustrated that everyone is not just like us, and accept and learn from differences, then things would be just fine amongst all people of all nations.

Would it not be terribly boring if we were all the same?
