I just watched a video from Pat Condell. He is someone I added a while back on Myspace. His profile pic says 'God is Imaginary'. I didn't add him because I agree with him. I added him to learn about Atheism and Agnosticism and why they feel the way they do. He said something funny though, "If I am wrong then I am going straight to hell, but I just hope it's not Catholic Hell." hahaa!! I thought about that for a minute and remembered, Ya, in each religion there is a different type of hell. There is a different type of Heaven too for each. The word 'Faith' was also brought up in his video. First of all he seems like an arrogant, angry fellow. He's British. Faith of course is not in his vocabulary. About 7 years ago that word (to me) ment unquestioning, unconditional trust and belief in God and everything written in the Bible. Now that I have bravely questioned items within the Bible I have come aware of it's flaws and mortal contradictions. I started to research and learned most other religions have the same stories with different names. The funny part is, is that these same events happend thousands of years before the one's depicted in the Bible. Virgin births and all. Faith. After knowing this. Is it logical to keep this faith? Why are so many phenomenons not explained? Why is it not okay to ask WHY? From the beginning of our time we were not allowed to know. Tree of Knowledge was bad. WHY? What is there to hide? Let US decide. We were created as good and innocent. God created these trees of good and evil. Why give us an option? Why, Why, Why? I do have faith, but it's not in something I cannot question. I have faith and love in myself and people. There is SO MUCH MORE to know than what religion has to offer us. God is there with in us all trying to wake us up. We are a species that needs a leader, a parent to show us the way. Ask yourselves, 'What did the Native Indians do when there was no church or Orthodox religions?' It was all spiritual. They knew their spirit ancestors and spoke to them regularly. There were no commandments or dogmatic rules of fear and hell. There was just PURE LOVE and the true source of God. We have lost touch with that KNOWINGNESS. We have forgotten who we really are. We don't need religion to remind us because it's leading us in the wrong direction. Religion tells us to look outside of ourselves for answers. Look in this book written by men. No wait, that is the Catholic one, look in this one instead. This one has the correct path. No wait, that is the Christian one. Look in this one instead......and so on. The answers are already with in us. They have been all along. Don't need a leader, guru, priest, church, book, or religion to know that. We need simplicity. Let's go back in time to the ancient past. Back to when there was nothing but a tipi and fire. The Natives were so much wiser than we ever will be, but we can try. Close your eyes and look within. All the answeres are there and so is God waiting to speak with you again. Waiting for you to remember.
